Choctaw-Chickasaw Heritage Corridor
U.S. Highway 70
Part of the Trail of Tears, the Choctaw-Chickasaw Heritage Corridor stretches through the southernmost part of Oklahoma from the Arkansas state line to the Chickasaw capital in Tishomingo. Along this drive, located on U.S. Highway 70, you will be able to visit several culturally significant sites of both the Choctaw and Chickasaw Tribes. Following the route through Choctaw Country, the drive will take you to Wheelock Academy, Fort Towson, Doaksville, Fort Washita and finally the Chickasaw Council House Museum and Capitol Building.
