Visitors come from far and wide to have their photos taken beside the “World’s Largest Peanut,” located in Durant, OK. The Durant Main Street organization, as well as a number of other sources say this peanut is the sight to see! Over the past years, Bryan County has depended on agriculture for its economic stability and growth. One of its most successful crops was peanuts. Accordingly, this monument was dedicated to the Bryan County Peanut Growers and Processors in 1974.
